Can we collectively refuse to pay the increase in taxes from the bailout as a form of protest. If one does it is a crime, but if millions do it collectively... what does it become?
ReplyDeleteDamned if you do, damned if you don't. The big money holds everyone a hostage even when they're down and out. That is the nature of things.
ReplyDeleteThe whole Western economy structure is on the very shaky legs right now, the government has to step in. It's about saving the system right now. Is the system good? Most certainly not, but it's the best we have right now. And it's not like there are a lot of better options out there in real life. The 700B question is what are we going to get for our money?? I'd settle for a decent set of banking regulations avoiding a total systematic failure and eventual return on the investment.
